Dean Krouse

Dean Krouse leads Academy Bank’s Johnson County commercial lending team. With over 34 years in the banking industry, Dean specializes in originating and managing commercial relationships across various sectors, including a unique niche in the single-family home building industry. Known for his strong communication skills and ability to build valuable relationships, he provides clients with clear and prompt responses, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and accuracy.

Dean joined the Academy Bank team during the acquisition of Merit Bank in 2017. He brought extensive experience in relationship banking and commercial lending. He has also completed the Graduate School of Banking program in Boulder, CO, further enhancing his expertise.

Beyond his professional role, Dean actively supports local business as a member of the Loan Review Board for Heartland Business Capital in Overland Park. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, and spending time with his wife and two adult children. Dean is a 1990 graduate of Kansas State University and while there played on the JV basketball team. Originally from Westmoreland, KS, he now resides in Lenexa with his family.
